Since 1968, the NPSD Community Education Program (CEP) has offered a variety of learning and recreational experiences for people of all ages during its fall, winter and spring terms. Course catalogs are distributed by mail in August and February and are also available online at www.northpenncep.org

Family and Community Engagement

North Penn Community Education Program will offer four FREE events during March, April and May in the Educational Services Center, 401 E. Hancock Street, Lansdale, PA from 7-8:30 pm.
 

To register, click on the left panel, Family and Community Engagement and sign up for the program/workshop you are interested in attending.

On Wednesday, March 9, district leaders will take participants through a Diversity Data Deep Dive, exploring demographic data through a diversity lens. Specific data related to disproportionality, discipline and disability categories will be examined (In-person and recorded).

In our Curriculum Highlights on Tuesday, March 29, the NPSD Curriculum Department will highlight the steps being taken to ensure the curricula meets the needs of all North Penn students and reflects a diverse perspective (In-person and recorded).

On Thursday, April 7, join the Center for Parenting Education for their workshop Instilling an Attitude of Gratitude in the "Entitled Generation".  Explore the issue of over-indulgence, what it is, where it comes from and what you can do to shift your children from materialism and a sense of entitlement to gratitude and personal responsibility (In-person and streamed).

On Wednesday, May 4, District leaders will review the progress made to achieve North Penn's Cultural Proficiency and Equity goals (In-person and streamed) during our Year in Review.

A 5% discount will be given for registrations on  these days only. Register and pay online by visiting www.northpenncep.org and entering the code ONLINE% between 2-8 pm. When registering in-person, forms should be completed  and brought with payment. Registrations can  be mailed in at any time but the 5% discount is  not valid on mail-in registrations.

North Penn Community Education Program Classes will continue to  follow all district guidelines available at the time of classes including the NPSD 2021-2022 School Health and Safety Plan and NP School Board recommendations, in accordance with the guidance provided by the Montgomery County Office of Public Health.

Gold Card Program - NPSD Residents Age 60 or Better

Any North Penn School District resident age 60 or better is eligible to be a member of the GOLD CARD CLUB. The GOLD CARD CLUB card is nontransferable.

Use your GOLD CARD to enjoy: 

  • free admission to musical, dramatic and athletic events sponsored by the school district.

  • discounted classes and recreational activities through the Community Education and the Community Aquatic programs

  • one GOLD CARD CLUB free or discounted class each term (fall, winter and spring).

 

Special activities for GOLD CARD members are announced throughout the year. A GOLD CARD admits cardholders to most NPSD sponsored programs free of charge. There is no guarantee, however, that a community organization utilizing an NPSD facility will honor the GOLD CARD. Please follow the below procedures for easier access to NPSD events and signing up for courses:

  • Use your GOLD CARD as your pass to NPSD athletic events (home games only).

  • Present your GOLD CARD to the NPSD school office for a ticket PRIOR to any performances where the sale of tickets is limited by seating capacity.

  • Present your GOLD CARD at registration for enrollment in a Community Education Program or membership in the Community Aquatic Program. Some courses have

    limited enrollment and reach capacity quickly.

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration of programs using your Gold Card is not available. Please mail or drop off your registration form with payment.

NPSD officials believe that public school facilities should be used extensively by the citizens who pay for them. Support for the community school demonstrates that school directors and administrators are committed to the community use of school facilities.
